UPDATE FROM PASTEL PAYROLL 2008 UPDATE 2d TO PASTEL PAYROLL 2009 UPDATE 1a

Installation/Update Instructions

** Please note that the size of this update is 12,595Kb**

You must have Pastel Payroll 2008 Update 2d installed in order to use this update.

Follow these instructions carefully to ensure that you update your system correctly:

Click HERE to download Payroll 2009 Update 1a.

On the next screen you will be asked where to save the file to. Select a temporary directory.

• Click on ‘Save’.
• Open Windows Explorer and locate the directory in which you selected to download the file to. Search for the file called Pay08Update2d-Pay09Update1a.exe.
• Execute this file simply by double-clicking on the file name.
• The Update Assistant will launch. Make sure that Pastel Payroll 2008 is closed and click ‘Next ‘to continue.
• The Update Assistant will verify your current version of Pastel Payroll and confirm which updates to install. Click ‘Update’ to continue.
• The Update Assistant will now run the process to upgrade your current version of Pastel Payroll.
• When the update has completed, click on ‘Finish’ and open Pastel Payroll as you normally would.
• To ensure that the update has successfully installed, click on ‘Help...About ‘and check that the version number displayed reads Pastel Payroll 2009 Update 1a.
• From the File Menu, select to run a Legislative Release. Please ensure that you do not have any processed employees.

Please note that when accessing your payroll data on Pastel Partner Payroll 2009 Update 1a for the first time, your data will automatically be converted for use on this latest version. The conversion will take longer than previous data conversions you have become accustomed to.

It is crucial that you select to make a backup before the conversion starts and to be patient during the conversion process. Please do not end the conversion before it is complete.
